The PBUG, led by drummer extraordinaire Pete Ray Biggin, are at the forefront of the New Wave of Funk Soul and the UK’s hottest Funk sensation. Recently nominated “Best Live UK Show Of The Year” for the Jazz FM Awards, the band recently released a highly anticipated new album “Stand Up” to rave reviews.

The band is led by star drummer Pete Ray the band’s MD and predominant songwriter – a drummer of cult status as a member of the drummerworld.com elite, and a regular performer with bands including Level 42, Incognito, Amy Winehouse, Chaka Khan, Lalah Hathaway and Mark Ronson. Since forming in 2008 the band has been taking the UK funk scene by storm, building its loyal fan base and sweeping reviewers off their feet in a blitz of energy, showmanship and ferocious musical talent. The PBUG musicians are a who’s who of the hottest session players on the London scene. The band also features London greatest Singers, Chenai Zinyuku, Moni Tivony, Dan Pearce ‘D-tale’, Alex Buchanan, Tony Momrelle, & rappers MOD, Chima. The band has toured worldwide and sold out shows at the likes of London’s Ronnie Scott’s, Under The Bridge and Jazz Café.
