TRIONIQ FT IMAANI

TRIONIQ is a jazz-funk outfit founded by three seasoned artists, songwriters, producers, and touring musicians Iwan VanHetten (Brooklyn Funk Essentials, Sister Sledge, Pointer Sisters) and Paul Turner from Jamiroquai, and IMAANI from Incognito. Currently the band is in the studio working on their new album to be released in 2026.

Iwan VanHetten
Iwan’s longstanding association as musical director and songwriter with the New York based Brooklyn Funk Essentials has taken him all over the world to prestigious festivals and clubs including North Sea Jazz in South Africa, Ronnie Scotts and Jazz A Vienne Festival. With a career spanning continents, Iwan’s talent has graced audiences on international stages and his huge talent has made him a sought-after collaborator. Other artists that he has toured with include Sister Sledge, Candy Dulfer and Paco Sery.

Paul Turner
In addition to being long serving bassist with Jamiroquai, Paul has worked with artists including Jeff Lorber, Down To The Bone and Omar, Annie Lennox, Bryan Ferry and Tina Turner.

Featuring on no less than twelve studio and three live albums by the celebrated Jazz Funk band Incognito including “Beneath The Surface”, “Bees & Things & Flowers, ‘Surreal’, ‘Amplified Soul’ and ‘Tomorrow’s New Dream’, Imaani has become a favourite with the fans. As a long-term member of Incognito, she has also completed several world tours and continues to tour extensively with the band. Her emotive lead vocal contributions also appear on the Urban Species album “Blanket”, Reel People’s ‘Seven ways to wonder’ album and Down to the Bone’s album ‘The Main Ingredients’.
